As you may remember, in November we shared some Unique Thanksgiving Decorating Ideas with you. One of our planners, Jeanette, decided to put these ideas to the test during her annual Friendsgiving celebration! The results: our ideas proved to be a huge hit; everyone had a blast and were really impressed with all of the little details.

Jeanette created customized food labels for the appetizers, cocktails & desserts and displayed a chalkboard menu listing all of the delicious dishes she planned to serve.

Jeanette’s husband is obsessed with all things bourbon, so she came up with the idea to have a “Create Your Own Old Fashioned” station and designed a sign for the bar.  She also created a sign for the ladies drink, sparkling cranberry apple sangria (loosely based on Chow’s spiced cranberry sangria).

For the table settings, she used these adorable utensil holders from Craftaholics Anonymous and gold charger plates for a pop of color.  She also created edible pilgrim hat place cards (made out of a shortbread cookie and a Reese’s Peanut Butter cup) with each guest’s name.

For a rustic, elegant look, the centerpieces consisted of white hydrangeas, gold painted pumpkins, and cylinder candelabras on top of burlap squares.

After a few old fashions and glasses of sangria, the guests used these Thanksgiving themed props from The Dating Divas and for a cheap photo booth alternative, she set up the Photo Booth app on the MacBook. As you can see, everyone loved it!
