Delicious 30th Birthday Party Idea

We recently planned a surprise 30th birthday party at Eurostoves in Beverly and it was a blast! We wanted to do something unique and fun, so we asked the question, “what does the birthday girl like?”

Our answer…FOOD + WINE…who doesn’t, right?

That’s when we came up with the idea of a cooking party for this food lover. The birthday girl, Sheri, thought she was going out for dinner down the street. When she realized they were early, she asked her husband if they could stop into Eurostoves to check out some fun kitchen gadgets. Could she make it any easier for us? Surprise!

How it works: you split up into pairs to create a unique dish, drink some wine/beer and socialize while the food is cooking and then everyone sits down to eat “family style” around a huge table. We made some delicious ricotta bruschetta, colorful endive chopped salad, tasty chicken and wine dish and a wonderful salmon, in addition to barley risotto and parmesan mushrooms. We finished the meal off with a yummy lemon cake with cherry compote. To say the least, no one left hungry! And the best part is you get to make a mess out of someone else’s kitchen!

We decided to get creative and made some fun, personalized aprons for everyone…

And a special apron for the birthday girl…

There are so many amazing industrial kitchens in the area that offer private party options. Not only is this a great birthday party idea, but it would also be a great company team building event.

Happy Spring!

We are so excited the weather is finally warming up, the flowers are beginning to bloom, and most importantly, wedding season is here! Spring is one of the most beautiful times of the year to get hitched. Here are some tips on how to embrace what the season has to offer.

Be bold!
Spring colors are usually associated with warm, tranquil, romantic pastels; however, according to Pantone’s report out last fall, this year you’ll see a lot of pastels mixed with bright, bold hues. So why not add a pop of color to your big day?

Look for the flowers that are in season
Save some money and get some beautiful blooms by going with the flowers that are in season. Ask your florist for suggestions or check out this super helpful guide which breaks down the seasonable flowers by month.

Don’t let it rain on your parade
We’ve all heard the saying, April Showers Bring May Flowers…but showers on your wedding day? While it may be good luck to have rain on your big day, it’s always best to be prepared! If rain is in the forecast and your ceremony or reception will be taking place outside, consider renting a tent and if you’re planning to take photos outside, be sure to have a back up indoor option.

Once you’ve made sure your guests are covered, buy a cute umbrella, some colorful rain boots and smile; after all, you are marrying the love of your life!
